Reference: every action, what it costs, how it fails
Keep this open while you script your audit. It lists actions, prices, paging limits and the two errors you are likely to meet.
Basics before the tables
The endpoint is https://backlinkphoenix.com/api.php?action=<action>&q=<domain>&key=sk_.... You may send the key as a Bearer header instead. CORS is open, so a browser script works too.
Every response has an ok flag. Authenticated ones also carry _credits, which states the cost and your remaining balance. That makes budget tracking trivial.
Compared with Moz API backlinks pricing, the structure differs: Ahrefs sells units inside subscriptions starting at $129 a month for 200,000 units, while here you pay per call from a prepaid balance.
Usage is up to you. Entirely. There is no seat licence, no tier ladder and no overage charge, so a script that runs once a month and a script that runs on every client onboarding pay by the same rule. Fresh signups start with $100 in free credit, which is enough for roughly 500,000 two-credit calls.

One call is billed once, whatever the number of rows, up to 1,000 rows per call. Use page and per (10-5000) to walk through results, sort with sort plus order=asc|desc. Deep pagination stops at 50,000.
Errors you may see
| HTTP code | Meaning | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| 401 | Key missing or invalid | Check the key parameter or header |
| 402 | Credit has run out | Top up with USDT (TRC-20) on the account page |
Which action for which recovery question
Match the question you have to the cheapest call that answers it.
How big is the damage?
Start with overview, which is free. Then run refdomains once and compare it with the file you saved last month. Our monthly routine shows the diff.
What do junk links look like?
Use anchors and anchor_cloud. Odd words that repeat across many domains are the pattern to catch before you open the disavow myths.
Which donors are worth chasing?
intersect takes two to ten domains and returns sites linking to several of them. Feed your rivals in, look for donors that skip you, then score the list with bulk_dr.
Did the move leak?
toppages on the old and the new domain shows where the links land. The migration walkthrough uses it step by step.
One paged call, annotated
All parameters after the action are optional.
curl "https://backlinkphoenix.com/api.php?action=toppages&q=yourshop.com&page=2&per=500&order=desc&key=sk_live_..."
# q: the domain; page and per: paging; order: asc or desc; key: your secret
# every response includes ok, and authenticated ones add _credits
